Stained Glass in Wales | Gwydr Lliw yng Nghymru

Church of St Ffraid, Glyn Ceiriog, Wrexham

formerly in: Denbighshire

Diocese of St Asaph

Church(Anglican)

Medieval church rebuilt about 1790, and subsequently restored in 1839 and again 1887. The dedication was recorded as Bridget in the early eighteenth century, although all known forms of the place-name incorporate Ffraid rather than Bridget.

The church has now closed and is in private ownership.

According to Mostyn Lewis, there is further stained glass in the church, probably of the 1830s and by David Evans, which is mainly heraldic.
